Vincent L. Baker

Vincent Lee Baker was born May 4th, 1999. He departed this life on October 6th, 2019 at the age of 20.

Vincent lived in Hazel Green for almost 18 of his 20 years. He grew up loving His God, Family, Friends sports and competition. He wrestled and played basketball and football. He participated in the Lads to leaders program for many years. He graduated from Hazel Green High School in 2017. He was currently and proudly serving in the United States army with the rank of private Second Class. Vincent loved, lived and left this world for Heaven Wide Open.

He is survived by his parents Lonnie & Marcella Baker of Hazel Green, AL; brothers Alex Baker of Ft. Hood, TX, Elijah Baker of Hazel Green, AL; grandparents Billy & Becky Martin of Hazel Green, AL; the love of his life Selena Garcia; aunt Lisa Carper & her husband Noel of Rome, GA; uncle Robert Baker & his wife Linda of Maineville, OH; uncle Allen Baker of Hazel Green, AL; uncle Tony Baker of Conyers, GA; cousin Joshua Corder & his wife Sara; cousin Jordan Green & her husband Matt; cousin Kelly Wright & her husband Tyler; cousin Kimberly Holt and her husband Justin; cousin Brittany Baker; cousin Adam Baker & his wife Tiffany; cousin Andrew Baker and Kallen Carper. He also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Doyle and Becky Baker; and his great-grandmother "Momma" Ruth White.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 4 to 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1pm at the funeral home.  Burial with full military honors will follow and will be in Plainview Cemetery.
