Shirley Harper Obituary

Shirley Harper, 85 of Murphy passed away Saturday September 12, 2020, after a brief illness.

A native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Everett Atkinson Mintz and Vertie Jones Mintz. She was a retired Cosmotologist. She took much pride in working in her yard taking care of her many flowers and shrubbery. She enjoyed spending time with family and her grandchildren brought her great joy.

She is survived by one son, Ricky Coffey and Wanda of Marble, NC; one daughter, Rebecca Coffey Mills and Richard of Hazel Green, AL; one brother, Dean Mintz of GA; two sisters, Christine Breedlove and Vic of Marble NC; Joyce Mintz of Houston, TX; six grandchildren; Anthony Coffey, Jennifer Coffey Bowers, Kacey Coffey, Brandon Mills, Erica Mills Sickler, Stephanie Mills Godfrey; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Murphy, NC.
