Loy Marie (Honea) Morris

Graveside services for Loy Marie Morris age 94 of New Market will be held Wednesday 2PM at Taylor Cemetery with Rev. Benny Berry officiating. Mrs. Morris passed away Sunday at Huntsville Hospital. She was a native of Madison County and was the daughter of the late Essie and Ethia Wright Honea and was a retired school teacher with the Madison County School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyce “Rip” Morris, two sisters, Madillon Swafford and Edith Harris and one brother, Raymond Honea.

She is survived by one son, Michael Edwin Morris, her siblings, Nolan Lee and his wife, Naomi Honea, Joyce Ann Thompson and Carl and his wife, Linda Honea, her sister in law, Lillian Hargrove, several nieces and nephews and a host of loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home.
