Coty Shae Blackburn

Coty Shae Blackburn, a beloved son, father, brother, kindhearted and friend passed away on January 17, 2023 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born October 23, 2000 at Huntsville Hospital. He was 22 years old.

Coty was raised in the Hazel Green, Alabama area where he enjoyed participating in cornhole tournaments as well as spending time with his family and friends. He had a kind and caring heart and was always ready to help others.  In his death, he blessed several other people through organ donation.

He owned and operated E-Z Cleanz Pressure Washing where he took pride in serving his customers. Coty was a Christian and was part of the First Baptist Church of Meridianville.

Coty is preceded in death by his grandparent: Charles and Faye Blackburn; his great-grandmother: Unita Sanderson; his two close friends: Devin Vanhoozer and Nick Waggener; and his dog Bella. 

He is survived by his son Cooper Michael Blackburn; parents Russ Blackburn and Becky Delisle; step-daughter Raylee Mae Cowart; brother Ethan Blackburn; brother, Katie Blackburn; nana & papa Murray; uncle & aunt T.J. & Cindy Jordan; Uncle and aunt Keith & Renea Blackburn; cousins Brady, Marshall, Eli & Kayla Jordan, Amelia Cantrell, Joshua Blackburn, and Lindsey Blackburn; aunt Angela Connally; his fiance Shelby Bryant. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3pm until 6pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be on Monday at 2pm at the First Baptist Church of Meridianville with Dr. Tommy Bolan officiating.  Burial will then follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens in Meridianville. 

Those who knew Coty will remember him for the kind hearted man that he was. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will never be forgotten.
