Bobbie Jean Howard

Bobbie J. Payne Howard, beloved mother, MeeMa, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 15th, 2020, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Hazel Green, AL. She grew up in that same community and graduated from Hazel Green High School.

Bobbie married her “one and only love”, James Lowell Howard, on February 18th, 1952. After his sudden passing in 1984, she continued to work in accounting in Anniston, AL. She returned to Huntsville, AL in 2013. She loved to bowl, the Atlanta Braves and her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Lowell Howard, her parents, Kittie Davis and Earnest Payne, her sister Helen Cothren Hobbs, and her brother Earnest McCoy Payne.

Left behind to cherish and honor her memory are son, Bobby Dean Howard (Diane) of Madison, AL, daughters Donna Howard Shamblin (Johnny) of Hazel Green, AL, and Cynthia Howard Kuehn (Mark) of Oxford, AL, grandchildren, Michael Shamblin (Margaux), Ashley Howard, Christy Shamblin Frasier (Matt), Chris Howard (Erin), John Prince (Shanda), Colton Prince (Savannah), Nickolas Kuehn, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 10 -11 AM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 AM at Hazel Green Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger Berry officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
