Agnes Madeline (McDougal) Pierce

Agnes Madeline McDougal Pierce, 89, of Hazel Green, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening.  

She was a devoted and faithful Christian woman and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hazel Green.   In addition to loving God, she loved her family very much and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.   In earlier years, she enjoyed singing in the choir at her church and was also in a gospel trio.   She loved to cook for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Pierce;  By her son, Bobby Glenn Pierce;  By her great-grandson, Zachary Seth Fults;  Her siblings: Horace McDougal, Elmer McDougal, Elvie McDougal, Carl McDougal, Beatrice Hubert,  and Macie Cobb;  Her parents, Harrison Cephus McDougal and Mary Ella Campbell McDougal.

Surviving family members include her grandchildren: Jeff (Suzi) Pierce, Gina (Deon) Tanner, and Melissa (Barry) Priest; Great-grandchildren:  Jessica Aylln, Chasity Coats, Ryan Tanner, Walker Pierce, and Eli Pierce; 5 Great-great grandchildren;  She is also survived by her sister, Reba Campbell, and many nieces, nephews, and other friends and family members.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Monday at 2pm at the funeral home with Pastor Lon Ostrzycki officiating.  Burial will follow in Bevill's Cemetery.
