William Alexander "Billy" Graves, 60, of Meridianville passed away Thursday.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his Echota Indian heritage and was an Alabama football fan.  He was a graduate of Randolph School.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Alva Leonard Graves & Telette Wells Graves, Johnny Croft and Ruth Hazel Croft; Wince Lewis Messer & Ethel Messer.

Surviving family members include his parents, William A. "Bill' Graves Sr & Shelba Jean Graves;  His sister and brother-in-law, Kristi & Michael Javins; His brother and sister-in-law, John & Gladys Graves;  Three nieces and one nephew, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and one great-great-niece.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday at 10AM at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 11AM at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Lorick officiating.  Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens in Meridianville.

Casket bearers will be Michael Javins, John Graves, Tom Worthington, Tom Javins, Ray Whaley, Dickie Rochelle, Rodney Hess, and Mekhi Underwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the drug rehabilitation and prevention organization of your choice.  Following the committal service, everyone is invited to a reception with the family at Meridianville Cumberland Presbyterian Church next to the cemetery.
