Vern JonesFebruary 23, 1936 ~ February 20, 2011Mr. Vern Jones, 74, of Meridianville died Sunday at a local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Phronsie Jones; his children, Scott Jones, Shirley Anderson, William Rydbom; his grandchildren, April, Amy, Mary Charlotte, Elizabeth Anne, Logan and Sarah; one great-grandson, Sutton. Visitation is Tuesday 5 to 8 pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The funeral service is Wednesday 1 pm at Hazel Green United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Stewart officiating. Burial will be Thursday 1 pm at Highlands Cemetery in Piedmont, Alabama. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christmas Charities or a charity of your choice. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
