Tony Holder

Mark Anthony "Tony" Holder affectionally known as "Rabbit" of Athens, Alabama passed away August 23, 2025. He was born on November 13, 1963 in Fayetteville, Tennessee. He grew up in Vanntown, Tennessee and Meridianville, Alabama.

Tony loved his friends and family along with animals, kids, and Nascar. He also enjoyed playing guitar. Tony was a kind-hearted person who never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

Tony is survived by his father, Grady Holder; his siblings, Robin Covington, Ricky Holder, Kristie Patton (Frank), Grady Holder Jr (Sheri), Judi Jackson (Terri), Phillip Grissom (Melissa), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Peden; his sister, Karen Ferguson; his brother, David Holder; and his grandparents Walter and Fossie Holder, and Sybil Richardson.

The family will receive friends at Hazel Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 11:30AM until 1:00PM. Funeral services will be at Lincoln Cemetery at 1:30PM with Pastor Butch Sobiek officiating.
