Tommy Ray Buchanan

Reverend Tommy Ray Buchanan of New Market went to be with the Lord on Friday while he was resting peacefully at his home. He was 63. Tommy was a man of many talents including being a pastor, operating a tire business, auctioneering, and he had a firewood business. He was a hard worker and an entrepreneur. He was preceded in death by his father, A J Buchanan, his brother, Robert "Peewee" Buchanan, his brother, Anthony Buchanan, and his brother, George Buchanan.

Surviving family members include his wife, Tina Lee Buchanan; his mother, Betty Jo Buchanan; his brother, Larry Joe Buchanan; his sister, Lisa Byars; He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2pm at the funeral home with burial following in Cochran Cemetery in New Market.

Tommy will be remembered for his good heart and for being a loving husband, son, and brother.
