Theresa Pigg

Mary Theresa Pigg of Madison, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday. She was 79 years old.

Theresa was a Christian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Huntsville. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she treasured the friendships she shared with her church family.

She enjoyed trips to the beach, especially Gulf Shores, as well as shopping and watching her favorite television show, Murder, She Wrote.

Theresa retired from the United States Department of State after 30 years of dedicated service. During her career, she was recognized for her work with an award from Secretary of State Colin Powell. She took pride in her work and believed in doing her very best at whatever task was before her.

Above all, she was proud of her children and grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Ronald Pigg; her parents, Oswald Grant & Norma Elisabeth Harper; her brother, Michael Grant Harper.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Michelle & Matt Parrow; her son, Michael David Pigg and Leila Dean; her four grandchildren: Morgann Parrow, Rachelle Parrow, Owen Pigg, and Olivia Pigg. She is also survived by her friends and church family members.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 11am at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Jeremiah Cochran officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. Burial will follow and will be in Calvary Gardens Cemetery which adjoins the church.
