Steve Worsham

Steve Worsham of Hazel Green passed away on Wednesday afternoon while surrounded by his loving family. He was 79. He attended Hazel Green High School and the North Alabama College of Commerce. He worked as an automotive mechanic and held a real estate license. Steve was a Christian and part of the Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ.

He enjoyed fishing, cooking, enjoyed watching cooking shows and westerns on television and was a passionate Nascar and Alabama football fan.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Michelle Cagle; his grandson, Clayton Scott Worsham; his parents, Sanford Worsham & Maude Worsham McQuistion; his brothers, Daniel Ray Worsham and Mack Worsham. his aunt, Gail Medley.

Surviving family members include his son, Scott (Brian) Worsham; his son, Billy Steve Worsham; his son, Daniel Joseph (Michelle) Worsham; his daughter, Ciarra Worsham; his grandchildren: Delilah Worsham, Skylar Worsham, and Evelyn McFarlin; his sister, Regina Worsham; his sister-in-law, Linda Worsham, his niece, Wendy (Stan) Ransom and nephew, Mike (Marie) Worsham.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon beginning at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:30pm at the funeral home with Pastor Benny Berry officiating.
