Sondra Renee Lee

Ms. Sondra Renee Lee, age 53, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Monday.

Sondra was born on March 26, 1973, in Chicago, Illinois. She was a devoted mother, daughter, and friend who found her greatest joy in caring for her family. Sondra loved cooking—especially preparing meals for those she loved—and enjoyed listening to music. She will be remembered for her strong personality, her love for her children, and the way she brought people together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Leslie Lee who passed away on April 19, 2019 and Mildred Marie Lee who passed away on February 20, 2019; her sister, Linda Jones; her nephew, Robby Neeley; her nephew, Ricky Ashby; her sister-in-law, Debbie Lee; and her close friend, Jodie Burrough.

Sondra is survived by her loving children, Scott Farmer and his significant other, Harley Boyett; William Farmer; Allen Farmer and his significant other, Gabby Hamby; and Dylan White and his significant other, Auburn Miller. She is also survived by her siblings, Ricky Lee and wife Janice; Roger Lee; Debbie Ashby and husband Ricky Ashby; and Tina Buchanan; her god-sister, Tina Burrough; her grandchildren: Lily, Karson, Graylynn, Violetta, Eliana, and Luka and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:30am at the funeral home. Burial will then follow in New Sharon Cemetery.

Sondra’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
