Robert Kevin Wright
March 15, 1972 — April 9, 2025
Robert Kevin Wright, 53, of New Market, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. He was born in Huntsville and spent most of his life in New Market.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara Wright and granddaughter, Aralynn Swanson of Chapel Hill, TN; parents, Wt and Rosemary Hughes of Spring Hill, Tn; and significant other, Donna Erwin of New Market, Al; his aunt, Sandy Tart and many cousins and friends.
Kevin graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, TN in 1991. He graduated top of his class at Nashville Auto Diesel College in 1992. He was gifted with the knowledge to work on engines, body, restoration and painting. He also worked on many diesel engines.
He loved to hunt and fish and spend time outdoors. He was a devoted fan of racing. His love of racing started with go carts. He also drove some on dirt tracks.
Kevin was a devoted friend with a big heart. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rice Cemetery in New Market.
