Robert E. Watson

Robert E. Watson, age 82 of Fayetteville, passed away December 13, 2016, in Lincoln County. He was born July 20, 1934, in Madison County, Alabama. He entered the United States Army and retired after more than 20 years. He traveled to the Panama Canal zone with his family to Hawaii, Texas, Georgia, 2 tours of duty in Germany, solo tours in Korea, and 2 tours in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife of 4-days-short-of-60 years, Eujeania Watson of Fayetteville; his daughter Karen E. Barnes; son James (Dottye) M. Watson of Fayetteville, TN; three grandchildren – Christopher R. Barnes of Murfreesboro, TN., Stephanie (James) Thornton of Athens, AL., and Jeremy T. Watson of Fayetteville, TN. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren: Chandler, Keegan, and Kaycee Barnes, and Rozalyn and Clayton Thronton; 1 brother, Jack Watson of Mobile, AL, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15, at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Burial will be Friday at 1:00 pm in Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln County, TN.
