Mr. Earl Brady of Hazel Green passed away on Thursday evening while surrounded by his loved ones. He was 87. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, hard work, and devotion to his family. A man of integrity and strong character, Earl was a God-fearing Christian and a longtime member of Bevill’s Chapel Baptist Church. He loved his family deeply and led by example throughout his life.

Earl was a dedicated provider who worked many years at Hart & Cooley alongside his wife, Martha, where they later retired together. He also worked in the tile business with his sons, Scott and Keith, and his grandson Jeff "Little Scott". He took pride in his work and in caring for those around him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert “Robby” Brady; his great-grandsons, Brian Barnes, L.J. McNeal, and Clayton Moyers; his great-granddaughter, Christa Barnes; and his siblings, Mary Catherine Brady Irvin, Kattie Sue Brady, Lee Morton “Buck” Brady, A.D. Brady Jr., Pauline Brady Anderson, John William “Dub” Brady, Virginia Bell “Jennie” Brady Hill, Cecil Maylon Brady, Reba Mae Brady, Lois Brady Warren, Doyle Dean Brady and Carlton Brady.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 68 years, Martha Jo Harrison Brady; his children, Scott (Summer) Brady, Keith Brady, and Annette (Johnny) McNeal; and his grandchildren, Christy (Richard "Red") Duffey, Chris “Bubba” (Michelle) Brady, Jeff "Little Scott" (Christina) Brady, Shana (Gabe) Moyers, Jordan Brady, Katie Anderson, Josh (Jessica) Locker, Holly (Eric) Bartlett, Hannah (Nathan) Mallon, John (April) McNeal, and Jared McNeal. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Nancy Key, Jean Brady, and Judy Poole; 17 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Bevill’s Cemetery with Pastor Tim Britton officiating.
