Ricky's Journey began in Huntsville, where he graduated from Buckhorn High School. His path of service led him to the U.S. Army, where he proudly served for 11 years, reaching the rank of staff sergeant. It was during this time that he and Barbara traveled and created lasting memories before settling back in Huntsville in 1981. Ricky then transitioned to a long and fulfilling career with the U.S. Postal Service, dedicating over 32 years before enjoying a well-deserved retirement.

A man of many talents and interests, Ricky found great joy in tending to his garden and working in his barn. He had a passion for playing golf, croquet, card games, and he relished the opportunity to build and create with wood. Above all, Ricky cherished the time spent with his family, always eager to create new memories with his loved ones.

He was preceded on death by his parents and his brother, Bruce Cagle.

Ricky is survived by his devoted wife of over 52 years, Barbara Cagle; his children, Matthew Earl Cagle, Mandy Powell Cain, and Chad Cagle; his grandchildren, Alexandra Kimbrough and Hunter Holt; and his great-grandchildren, Cayde Kimbrough and Avery Kimbrough.
