Richard Wiser

Richard Wiser, age 83, of Fayetteville, passed away at his home in Parks City Friday, May 15, 2026. He was born April 24, 1943 in Giles County, Tennessee. He devoted a large part of his life to Christian work. He was noted for his beautiful voice.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lynn Martin Wiser; two daughters, Mandy Wiser Edlin of Central City, Kentucky and Heather Wiser Smith of Lynchburg; and one son, David Wooten of Fayetteville; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Warren Wiser; father, Marvin Wiser; brother, Joe Wiser; sister, Lavern Leonard; and sister, Carolyn Beverly.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 2pm at Stewart Cemetery with Andy Irwin and Ricky Smith officiating.
