Retha Ashby, 60, of Hazel Green, passed away on Friday at her home.
She was a 1975 graduate of Hazel Green High School. Retha was a cosmetologist for many years before being employed in the cafeteria at Hazel Green High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Howard and Jewel Dean Ashby.
Surviving family members include her siblings, Cheryl (Ray) Crawford, Roger (Sherry) Ashby, and Cathy (Stefon) Jean; her niece, Aleshia (John) MItchell; Her nephews, Dustin (Andria) Jean, Austin Jean, and Will Doney. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Cemetery.
