Philip Howard Stressel Jr. passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2020 at 11:17 PM surrounded by his loving family.
Philip Stressel was born in New Jersey, the son of Philip H. Stressel Sr. and Annelies Ritter Stressel. After growing up in Germany, he returned to the United States where he was an MP for the United States Army and proceeded to be a loyal rural postal carrier for the USPS for a combined of 25 years.
He is survived by his two daughters: Liberty Stressel and Pray Stott; mother of Liberty and Pray, Jennifer Stott; his dogs: Jax and Pekka; his long time friend: Tom Kelly, and his many wonderful friends and co-workers from the Mastin Lake Post Office. He is also survived by his sisters: Helen Stressel, Linda Stauf (Brad) and Elizabeth Busch (Joe). He is preceded in death by his parents: Philip H. Stressel Sr. and Annelies Ritter Stressel; his uncle: Clarence Stressel. He will incredibly missed by his family.
Above all else, he was a fantastic father to his two daughters. He loved and cared for them and ensured they were taken care of. He passed away with Liberty, Pray, and Jennifer by his side. He knew he was loved until the end.
Per his request, no memorial service will be held. A direct cremation will occur. This is because of Phil's cheap nature. As he would say if he were still here, "How much is that going to cost me?"
We love you so much and hope you are looking down on us as we go through life together, remembering you every step of the way. Roll Tide.
