Paul Eugene Riggins, age 58, of Harvest, Alabama, passed away on April 24, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Riggins was born on June 18, 1967, in Huntsville, Alabama. He was a truck driver by trade and took great pride in his work on the road. Paul had a deep love for cars—especially his favorite, the 1969 Camaro—and enjoyed auctions, racing, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Known for his colorful personality, he will be remembered for his love of life, his stories, and the special bond he shared with family and friends. His yellow truck was one of his proudest possessions, and blue was always his favorite color. In his downtime, he enjoyed watching shows like Star Trek along with classic westerns.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Faye Bratcher Shaneyfelt; and his brother, Jimmy Riggins and nephew, Toney Pierce. He is also preceded in death by his best friend, Bryant Locke, and his beloved cat, Zira.
Survivors include his son, Donald Paul Riggins (Chelsea); daughters, Brooklyn Riggins (Jaelyn Lide), Shelby Riggins, and Amanda Benitez (Antonio); bonus daughters: Haley Worthey and Ashley Cain; grandchildren, Jordan Riggins, Elizabeth Riggins, Nevaeh Bowling, Jaxson Sanders, AnnaBelle Benitez, Lillian Robinson, and bonus granddaughters, Kylie Brady and Addison Hughes; sisters, Angela O’Keefe, Carolyn Jane Riggins, Charlotte Stafford (Russell), and Barbara Rodriguez (Ricardo); along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends including Sherry Thompson and Shannon McClain who were both special to him.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 12pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. Burial will follow and will be in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore.
