Patricia Sue Stephenson

Mrs. Patricia Sue Gardner Stephenson of Hazel Green went to be with the Lord on Friday She was 78.

Sue was a loving and devoted woman whose family meant the world to her. She cherished her three daughters, her grandchildren, and all of her family deeply. A faithful Christian, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and treasured the fellowship of her church family and the many friends she made throughout her life. Her loving spirit, strong faith, and devotion to those she cared for will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her.

Surviving family members include her daughters: Barsha (Tony) Land, and Samantha Talley (Chivas Jefferson).

Her grandchildren: C.J. (Kaitlin) Talley,  Jonathan Talley (Lexis Bowden), and Kason Master.

Her Siblings: Billie & Larry Fowler, Vickie and James Ricketts, Tresia and Johnny Rector, Jimmy and Jenny Gardner, and Danny & Mary Gardner. Her son-in-law, KC Master; her sister-in-law, Kayla Gardner.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Monica Master and by her siblings, Buddy Gardner and Ina Faye Gardner.

The families of Sue and Jim will receive friends on Tuesday evening, September 29, 2026 from 5pm until 7pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services for Sue will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at Fayetteville Church of God with Pastor Ron Wood and Brother Floyd Henderson officiating. Burial will follow the service and will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Vann Town.
