Nellie Melodia Curry SharpApril 29, 1919 ~ January 17, 2011 Nellie Melodia Curry Sharp, of Huntsville, AL, died Monday at the Big Spring Specialty Health Care Center, Huntsville, AL. She was 91 years old and a life-long resident of Madison County. Ms. Sharp was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Benjamin Sharp; her parents, Ronald and Mary Curry and by three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two sisters, Ms. Alma Dean Campbell of Huntsville, AL, and Ms. Winona E. Curry of San Leandro, CA, two daughters, Ms. Carolyn Sharp Williams and Dr. Nelda Sharp Nagy; one grandchild, Phyllis Williams Shannon and her husband Michael Shannon; two great-grandchildren, Brittany Michelle Adams and Seth Michael Shannon; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a private graveside service Wednesday. Burial will be at Charity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to North Alabama Hospice or a kind deed be done for someone in need. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
