Mrs. Martha Ann Scott
July 11, 1923 — May 20, 2013
Martha Ann Maddox Scott, 89, of Hazel Green, passed away on Monday at her home.
Mrs. Scott worked with her family at Scott's Orchard her entire married life of 68 years. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress, and gardener. She loved working with her ceramics. Her apple cake and pecan pies were enjoyed by many.
She was married to the late Roy L. Scott; She is survived by her sons: Larry Scott and wife, Joan, and Tommy Scott and wife, Kay - all of Hazel Green; Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sisters: Margaret Mansfield and Mary Beth Jennings, both of Taft, Tennessee.
Mrs. Scott was a lifelong member of Unity Church of Christ of Taft, TN;
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home with Bro. Wayne Harvell officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
