Michael Dean Goodwin
December 29, 1950 — May 25, 2024
Michael Dean Goodwin, 73, of Hazel Green, passed away on Saturday. He was originally from North Carolina but moved to the Huntsville area as a child.
He had retired from Dixie Metalcraft after more than 40 years.
Mr. Goodwin was preceded in death by his sister, Cherie Dale Busby, and his parents, James William & Mildred Vance Maxwell Goodwin.
Surviving family members include his son and daughter-in-law, Nick & Abby Goodwin; His grandchildren: Emilia, Mason, and Noah Goodwin; His sister, Debbie (Phillip) Price; His brother, Jim Goodwin.
There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday at 4pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Eads officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
Mike will be remembered for being a loving father and grandfather who loved his family very much and for being someone who was always willing to help, give to others and for being a friend to the community.
