Mary Lynn Berry
March 9, 1955 — August 14, 2025
Mary Lynn Berry, 70, of New Market, Alabama passed away on August 14, 2025 after a second battle with cancer. She was born on March 9, 1955 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Douglas and Louise (Preston) King.
Mary was a loving wife, as well as a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sharing recipes. She loved flowers and hummingbirds. She was very active with her local church and even taught a Bible study class for homeschoolers. And, despite her children being grown, she was still a central influence on their lives, and passionately followed her grandchildren’s pursuits. She was kind and merciful, always approachable, always encouraging.
Mary is survived by husband Stephen Berry; children: Christina (John) Sablan, Kimberly (Michael) Parton; Jesse Berry, and Aaron (Kelly) Berry; 7 grandchildren along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Bertha Bailey.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Jimmy Brantley and Bobby Gordon officiating. Interment will follow funeral at Taylor Cemetery.
