Martha Sue Holt

Martha Sue Holt, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on August 30, 2026. She was born July 7, 1954. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family, Alabama football, and NASCAR. She was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt. She loved watching the hummingbirds come to her feeders and always made sure to keep the feeders full.

She worked for a contract company, where she performed maintenance for NASA. She retired in 2018 after working there for more than 19 years. She had a big work family who all loved her very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lillie Holt; her sisters, Janice and Dorothy; and her brothers, O'dell and Thomas.

She is survived by her son, Johnny Hunter (Brenda); her daughter, Terina Hunter Mars; her grandchildren, Ashley Edwards (Lance), JD Mars (MaHaley), and Lynn Mars (Damion); and her great-grandchildren, Mason Vickers, Lilly Vickers, and Vivienne Mars. She is also survived by her brother, Mike Holt (Jan).

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 starting at 9:30am till 11:30am at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:30am with Brother Eddie Graves and Pastor Shane McConnell officiating. Burial will follow at New Sharon Cemetery.
