Margaret Marie Howlett

Margaret Marie Howlett, 84, of Kelso, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026. She was born February 19, 1942. Margaret will be remembered for her expertise in caring for her children and her husband while also serving as her husband's chief counselor. She was a gifted teacher who taught a multitude of subjects. She also loved to cook and was gifted at sewing. Margaret loved to write and wrote books about physics, cooking, her family, and the autoimmune disease she had during her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otha and Bessie Harmon; and her sister, Joan Parker.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Howlett; her sons, John Allen Howlett (Roxanne), Gregory Howlett (Marla), Nathan Howlett (Kelley), and Timothy Howlett (Erin); her 15 grandchildren; and her sisters, Diane Matthews and Patsy Patten.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Rick Johnson and Brother Eddie Lones officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Lincoln Cemetery.
