Margaret Louise Honey, age 87, of New Market, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Born on January 22, 1938, in Section, Alabama, she was the daughter of Ed Sparks and Martha Haynes. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Tim Blizzard, as well as her sisters Lucille Smith, Flora Carter, and Barbara Sue Harless, and her brother Rayburn Sparks.

Margaret will be remembered as a woman of deep faith, boundless generosity, and kindness. She loved Jesus with all her heart and lived her life guided by her faith, always putting the needs of others before her own. No matter how little she had, she shared it gladly, offering comfort and help to anyone in need. She faithfully supported numerous charities, including St. Jude’s, Our Daily Bread, and Wounded Warriors, believing deeply in the importance of helping others.

Her son Ed often reminded her to save for the future, but Margaret lived by her favorite saying: “I don’t worry about tomorrow.” Instead, she chose to trust in God and live each day with love and compassion. Alongside her faith, Margaret found joy in the music of Elvis Presley, who remained a lifelong favorite. His songs filled her home and her heart, bringing her comfort, happiness, and many cherished memories.

Margaret is survived by her loving children, Brian Blizzard (Linda), Sharon Blizzard, and Ed Honey (Donna); one brother, Jerry Sparks (Linda); and her grandchildren Joseph Blizzard (Rachel), Brandon Blizzard (Sandra), Michael Blizzard (Maria), Troy Blizzard, Tyler Blizzard (Crystal), Shaun Blizzard (Addie), and Emma Honey. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy.

Margaret’s life was a testament to quiet strength, selflessness, and devotion. Her love for Jesus, her generous spirit, and the joy she found in music leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
