Lynne Ratliff Ursery, age 66, returned to her heavenly home on August 7, 2019, at 3:30 p.m. after a long battle with non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver and liver cancer.  Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Lynne was born to the late Clynton and Bobbie Ratliff in Huntsville, Alabama, on April 10, 1953. Lynne's passion for over forty years was taking care of children and the elderly. She loved her husband of forty-four years, her two daughters, her grandson, and her two granddaughters. She absolutely loved playing card games. Her favorite was a game called Skip-Bo. Lynne always tried to make people smile and laugh. She loved goofing off, but could also be serious when needed.  She gave the best advice and was always only a phone call away. She was a fighter and loved life. Every year on Labor Day weekend, we have a family reunion. Lynne would always come up with her own games for us all to play.

Lynne is survived by her husband, Ernest Ursery; her two daughters, Charlotte Ursery (Eric Anderson), & Meggan Sanders (Jeremy); her grandchildren Jordan Ursery, Alexandria "Lexi" Sanders, and Jovanna "JoJo" Sanders; her brothers Chi Ratliff (Gail), Dean Ratliff (Penny), Mark Ratliff, and Scott Ratliff (Carol); and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by both her mother, Bobbie Ratliff, and her father, Clynton Ratliff.

The family will welcome friends for a visitation time for everyone on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Madison Christian Church (1400 Hughes Rd. Madison, Alabama 35758). The memorial service will follow from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. with Reverend Beth Thomason officiating the service.  Lynne wanted everyone to come casually dressed.
