Lloyd Preston

Mr. Lloyd Preston, 85, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening.

Mr. Preston had retired from Thrasher Oil Company, was a devoted Christian and member of Bevill's Chapel Baptist Church, and had been a minister of the gospel for many years having served several churches as pastor. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving family members include the love of his life - his wife of 64 years - Jean Preston;  His daughter, Terri Preston;   His grandson, Shawn Casebolt;   His granddaughter and her husband, April & Josh Balch;  His great-grandson:  Talen Balch.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lois Anderson and Jean Alverson;   By his parents, Odell & Daisy Preston; By his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert & Jessie Posey.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 2pm at the funeral home with Rev. Benny Berry and Rev. Todd Alverson officiating.   Burial will follow in Bevill's Cemetery.
