Linda Lee Dale Muse, 88, passed away on March 6, 2026.
Linda was born September 9, 1937, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late Plumer Ray Dale and Pearl Houpt Dale. She was raised in Hot Springs and spent much of her life in various towns across Arkansas before eventually moving to Huntsville, Alabama, to be closer to family.
Throughout her life, Linda’s world centered around family, friends, and neighbors—often blurring the lines between the three. She had a gift for welcoming people into her life and making them feel they belonged. She was happiest when her home was full. Linda was also an avid sports enthusiast who especially enjoyed cheering on her beloved Arkansas Razorbacks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Muse, and her brother, Frederick Dale.
Survivors include her son, Fred (Jude) Muse; daughter, Dale (Ken) Slayton; four grandchildren, Victoria Slayton, Stuart Slayton, Audrey Muse, and Jake Muse; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
The caregivers and staff at The Madison Village Assisted Living deserve special recognition for their extraordinary, above-and-beyond care. Through their compassion and dedication, they became part of Linda’s extended circle of family, friends, and neighbors.
Linda was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on March 21, 2026, at First United Methodist Church chapel, with the Rev. David Wilson and Rev. J.J. Galloway officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678.
