Renee had a long career, spending 30 years working on Redstone Arsenal. Throughout her life, she was known for her warm, caring nature and her ability to make everyone feel like a friend. She was an active and faithful member of her church, where she taught classes, and devoted much of her free time to helping others. Renee is also survived by her siblings, Kathryn Miller (Rich), Britt Kerbo, Kevin Kerbo (Susan), and Ronald Kerbo (Terri), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Renee is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Kerbo; mother, Glennis Pamplin Koonce and her husband, Robert Koonce; and both sets of her grandparents. Renee also lost her sister-in-law, Ellen Faye Monks Brooks, on the same evening as her passing.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Liberty Church of Christ. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 PM, with burial to take place at Stewarts Cemetery.
