Laura Wagner Lewter

Laura Wagner Lewter, 69, passed away on February 20, 2022.  Laura is preceded in death by her beloved son, Benjamin Winston Howard, 35, who died on May 16, 2021. She will be reunited with Ben, and with her parents, Doris and Wag Wagner, and other family members. She is survived by her cherished husband and daughter, James Donald Lewter, Jr.  (Donnie) and Jincy Louise Lewter, who are bereft by the untimely loss of their treasured wife and mother.

Laura was born in Reno, Nevada and graduated Annandale High School and George Mason University. Laura’s family was the most important part of her life, including beloved pets Nugget and Dot. She was also a talented glass artist who created many lovely pieces.

Laura’s son Ben was a kind and thoughtful son and brother who was loved by many. Ben was born in Huntsville and graduated from Hazel Green High School. He was an Eagle Scout and worked in the family business as a hardware salesman and pump technician.

Funeral service will be at Maple Hill cemetery Saturday March 19, at 2:PM. In lieu of flowers memeorials may be made to The Greater Huntsville Humane Society 2812 Johnson Road, S.W. Huntsville, AL 35805
