Kevin Clarence Thune

Mr. Kevin Clarence Thune of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away Wednesday. He was 59.

Mr. Thune was born in 1967 to Melba Thune and the late Ronald Thune in Huntsville, Alabama. Kevin grew up in Southern California until he returned to Huntsville in 2005. He was a true foodie and loved to try new foods. He could be found at any celebration where food was served. He loved playing fantasy football with lifelong friends. Mr. Thune was a true family man who deeply loved and cherished his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Thune; his grandparents; several aunts and uncles; his former father-in-law; and many dear friends.

Surviving family includes his wife of 19 years, Stacey Thune; his mother, Melba Thune; his stepson, Jackson Comer; his mother-in-law, Judith Kennedy; his former mother-in-law; his brothers, Brian Thune (Suzanne) and Jason Thune; his nieces, Melena Thune, Luci Tune, and Ally Thune; his nephew, Lucas Thune; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a special cousin, Alex Smith. He is also survived by his favorite scary-looking Marshmallow dog, Birdie, as well as many other family members and friends.

In accordance with Mr. Thune's and the family's wishes, there will be no memorial services. A full obituary will be published at a later time.
