Justin Shane Hovis, 34, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. He was born on February 18, 1991, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Kenneth and Christina (Hendley) Hovis.
Justin is survived by his parents; sisters, Jessica (Grant) Mattix and Janna (Chad) Putman; brother, Jacob (Jordan) Hovis; nieces and nephews, Nora Hovis, Isabella Putman, Wesley Hovis, and Ansley Mattix; grandparents, Kenneth and Brenda Hovis, and Jim and Rita Hendley; along with uncles, aunts, and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Barbara Henley and Norene Hovis, and by a special aunt, Louise Justice.
Visitation will be held at Hazel Green Funeral Home on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Officiant will be Pastor Mike McFarlen.
