Julie Kay Crane

Julie Kay Crane, 68, of Hazel Green, Alabama passed away December 14, 2025. She was born on June 28, 1957, in Iowa to the late Charles and Mary Allen.

She was a beloved mother, cherished sister, and devoted friend whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and connection to so many. Julie dedicated over 30 years of her life to Huntsville Hospital, serving in her later years as a pharmacy technician and a true advocate for her patients. Her compassion, diligence, and commitment to caring for others reflected the same generosity she showed in every part of her life.Julie will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and her generous heart. She had a gift for making people feel truly seen and valued, and her kindness left a lasting mark on anyone fortunate enough to know her. Julie’s close circle of many friends was one of the greatest joys of her life. They were a true sisterhood, bound by love, laughter, and deep connections that will always be cherished.

Julie is survived by her children Lorah (Matt Guerin) Crane, Elizabeth (Josh) Gilliland, Margie (Michael) Onder; the father of her children and former husband Bailey Crane; grandchildren Skyler Crane, Harlowe Gilliland, Shepard Onder, Coleman Onder; brothers Craig Allen, Jim Allen, Tom Allen, Scott Allen and many extended family members and very close and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends at Hazel Green Funeral Home on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 5:00PM - 6:00PM. Julie’s Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00 PM following the visitation with Carol Howie officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
