Johnhenry Sandoval, 44, of Hazel Green, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

He was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and was a believer who was raised in the Catholic faith. Johnhenry proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps with the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, and completed a tour with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry F. Sandoval.

He is survived by his wife of almost 17 years, Elisa M. Sandoval; his son, Johnhenry D. Sandoval II; his daughter, Charlotte Q. Sandoval; his mother, Josefina Sandoval; and his sisters, Patricia Sandoval, Margaret Rorick, Martha Copeland, and Yvonne Garrett. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at Hazel Green Funeral Home, with military honors. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated following the service.

Johnhenry will be remembered for his big heart, his sense of humor, and his ability to make others laugh. He was generous, kind and deeply proud of his wife and children. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He was a fighter, through and through.
