Joe Gerald Landman

Mr. Joe Gerald Landman of New Market passed away on peacefully on Friday evening at his home. He was 77. Mr. Landman had retired from Madison County District One and prior to that worked with Stevens Oil Company. He was a graduate of Hazel Green High School and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Roden Landman. His parents, Jerry Landman and Carolyn Smith Landman; his sister, Pam Southard.

Surviving family members include his brother, Derrik Landman; his sisters-in-love: Teresa (Corey Owens) Landrem, Paula Farrar, and Susan Duggan; his brother-in-law, Eddie (DeeDee) Roden; his special first-cousin, Danny (Marilyn) Harbin; his beloved brother-in-law, Steve Farrar. He also loved his cats, Tinker, KC, and Frankie.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at Noon at the funeral home with Chaplain Steven Butler officiating. Burial will follow and will be in Concord Cemetery.
