Jimmy Hester

Mr. James "Jimmy" Hester, 73, of New Market, passed away on Saturday morning at his home while surrounded by his loving family. He was a faithful Christian for 47 years and was a devoted member of Mountain View Free Holiness Church. Mr. Hester had owned J E Sheet Metal and Hester Construction and will be remembered for his gifts for building and designing.  He was a great pappy to his grandson who he adored, James Dawson Hester.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Norma Kimbrough Hester, and by his parents, James & Margaret Hester; his brother, Dawson Hester; his sister and brother-in-law, Glenda & J.E. Keel.

Surviving family members include his daughter, Shona Hester; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason & Casey Hester; his son and daughter-in-law, James & Jessica Hester; his grandson, James Dawson Hester. his beloved nephew and his family, Mark & Melissa Teague and his girls, Olivia and Aleyah. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, other family members and his church family.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 5pm until 8pm at Mountain View Free Holiness Church. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 2pm at the church with Brother Bruce Brazier officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor Cemetery.
