Jerry Kenneth Walker, born on December 20, 1935, passed away on May 5, 2025, at the age of 89. He was the son of the late Otis and Mattie Arnold Walker.
Jerry was a skilled and dedicated radiator repairman who owned and operated his own shop before retiring. He was a hardworking man with a strong spirit who valued self-reliance and independence.
He is survived by his three daughters, Vicky Carter, Debbie Logan, and Sherry Taylor, along with their families. He also shared a special and lasting bond with his “claimed” granddaughter, Desirea Bowden, and took great joy in being a proud great-grandfather to Stephan Bowden and Cavendar Bowden.
Jerry found pleasure in the simple things. He had a lifelong interest in classic cars, a fondness for western movies, a well-known sweet tooth, and an especially deep love and attachment for his beloved cat, Shadow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, and Nancy Mitchell, his companion of over 20 years.
Visitation will be held at Hazel Green Funeral Home on Wednesdeay, May 14, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Benny Berry. Burial will follow at Bevills Cemetery.
