J. C. Register

J.C. Register, 71, of Huntsville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday.  He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

J.C. was a faithful Christian and began serving in church music ministry when he was 18 years old.  Churches he served as Minister of Music include Sandy Valley Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Ga, Union Grove Baptist Church (at least three times), Oak Park Baptist Church, Central Baptist Church, Midway Baptist Church, Five Points Baptist Church, and Woodland Hill Baptist Church.

He retired from PPG after a 35 year career.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur & Kennie Register;  His brother, Arthur Hobson Register Jr.;  His sister, Edna Joan Capes; His brother, David Earl Register; His brother, William T. Register;  his father-in-law and mother-in-law, H.L. & Juanita Walker.

Surviving family members include his wife of 45 years, Sherrie Walker Register; His son and daughter-in-law, Justin & Patricia Register;  His grandchildren:  Anna & Matthew Register;  His sister, Dora Allene Yawn;  His sister, Karen Laverne Upshaw;  His sister, Betty Lou Nelson.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, church family members, and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday at 11AM at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Pastor Stanley Mullins and Rev. Gary Lawson officiating.   The family will begin receiving friends at 9:30AM at the funeral home.
