James Bailey

James Monroe Bailey, passed away on November 4, 2026, in Hazel Green, Alabama. He was born on April 6, 1975. James will be remembered as an outdoorsman, he loved to be out hunting, fishing, and kayaking. He enjoyed watching Alabama football. He also loved to hang out with his friends and barbecue.

James was preceded his father, Rex Bailey; his grandparents, Lila and Shell Bates, Llellene Bailey; and his nephew, Austin Pirtle.

He is survived by his mother, Claudia Moran; his brother, Brent Pirtle (Amanda); his nieces, Haley Pirtle and Sammi Pirtle; and the love of his life, Belinda Casteel. He is also survived by numerous extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 9, 2026 at Hazel Green Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, starting at 2:30PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Pastor Jenelle Tucker and Pastor Bruce Riddle is officiating the service. Burial will follow the service at Charity Cemetery.
