Herman Sentell Thompson

Herman S. (Steve) Thompson, 83, of New Market passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Mr. Herman S. Thompson was born in Madison County Alabama on July 8, 1941 to the late Joe and Bertha Scott Thompson.

Steve served in the military from 1959 ~ 1963. He confessed his hope in Christ at a very early age.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Bertha Scott Thompson, his brother William Thompson and sister Dorothy Knighten.

He is survived by his wife Linda Bailey Thompson, his daughter Susan Pearce; Sons, Darren Thompson, Steve Bailey, Brad Bailey, Brandon Bailey and Shannon Bailey; sisters Sylvia Strayer, Martha McElroy, brother Roy Thompson, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grand children.

He was an active member of Faith Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church serving on the deacon board and other duties as well.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, at Eleven o'clock at Faith Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Hank Mays Sr. and Brother Ricky Brewington officiating.
