Henry "Sonny" Marshal Mills III

Mr. Henry Marshal Mills III, lovingly known as "Sonny," of Meridianville, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on Monday. He was 83.

Henry was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team and the University of Alabama football team. He retired from Bill Clemons Auto Parts after 50 years. Mr. Mills was a member of First Baptist Meridianville. He was truly a well-loved person and will be remembered for his love for his family, especially his grandchildren, who called him PePop.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Elizabeth Mills, and his sister, Jerry Stover (Sammy).

Surviving family includes his wife of 64 years, Helen Mills; his children, Marty Mills (Kelly) and Christy Carlile (Tim); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Michael), Dalton, and Gracie; bonus grandchildren, Chasity and Chance; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Michaela, and Axton; and bonus great-grandchildren, Matthew and Caleigh. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 5, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at West End Grill, 6610 Old Madison Pike, Huntsville, Alabama 35806. The family encourages all guests to wear their favorite Atlanta Braves or University of Alabama attire to honor Sonny's love for the teams.
