Helen MooneySeptember 23, 1923 ~ July 20, 2011Helen Mooney, 87, of New Market, Alabama passed away Wednesday at a local nursing home. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 3 pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Friday 6 to 8 pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Survivors include her children, Christine Franklin, Billy Mooney, Cleona Maynard, Dora Owens and Anita Edwards; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Mooney; one daughter, Josephine Bennett; one son, Tony Mooney; three grandsons, Tim, Eric and Chris Mooney and one granddaughter, Amanda Edwards. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
