Greg Elders

Greg Elders of New Market passed away on Tuesday. He was 66. He had graduated from J.O Johnson High School and served in the United States Navy before retiring from United Parcel Service.

More than anything, he was proud of his boys. He cherished watching them grow, build their own families, and create lives of their own. The values he instilled in them and the bond they shared were among his greatest accomplishments. His love only grew with the arrival of his granddaughters, who brought endless happiness to his life and could always bring a smile to his face.

Greg was a passionate Alabama fan, he loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed traveling. He was a follower of Christ and a member of the First Baptist Church of Meridianville.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita McGee Elders.

Surviving family members include his sons and daughters-in-law, Jared & Mary Frances Elders and Jacob & Makayla Elders; his granddaughters: Brynlee Elders and Sloane Elders; his father, Bobby Elders; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary & Regina Elders and Billy & Becky Elders.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3pm until 4:30pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:30pm.
