Glenda Sue Collins

Glenda Sue Bishop Collins of Prospect, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, She was 69.

She appreciated the simple things in life and was a hard worker. She enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, her flowers, and spending time by her koi pond. She was a great cook who opened her home to many friends and always demonstrated southern hospitatliy. Above all, she was a devoted mother who dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and extended family, and she treasured the time they spent together. She was especially proud of the 50 years of marriage she shared with her beloved husband before his passing in 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald "Buzzy" Ray Collins; her father, Leroy Wikle Bishop and her mother, Virginia Parvin Bishop. her brother, Jackie Bishop.

Surviving family members include her daughters, Candace Singleton (Mike Royster) and Wendy Hall (Jason Hall); her grandchildren: Collin Singleton (Catlin), Cierra Wright (Caleb), Carson Hall; her great-granddaughter, Caroline Singleton; her sister, Diane White. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and extended family that she loved.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Noon at Pleasant Hill Methodist Cemetery in Prospect, Tennessee. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service in the cemetery. 3025 Pleasant HIll Road; Prospect, Tennessee.
