Genevieve Defries

Genevieve DeFriesJuly 15, 1926 ~ September 23, 2010Mrs. Genevieve DeFries, 84, of Fayetteville, Tennessee died Thursday at a local hospital. Mrs. DeFries worked as a secretary at Redstone Arsenal and was a life-long Southern Baptist. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, B.M. DeFries; her children, Carol and Gregg Shafer and James and Alice DeFries; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Amanda and Ryan Shafer, Joshua and Jesse DeFries; her great-granddaughters, Adalynn and Chrisalynn DeFries. She was preceded in death by one son, David DeFries. The funeral service is Sunday at 2:30 pm at Stateline Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Eads officiating. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
