Gene Byard

Mr. Gene Byard, 76, of Hazel Green, passed away on Saturday at his home surrounded by his family.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked in sales at Mock Electronics in Huntsville for more than 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie & Loraine Byard;  By his siblings: Sharon Byard, Mary Byrd, Richard Byard, Leslie Byard, and Horace Byard; His granddaughter, Elsie Byard.

Surviving family members include his wife of 32 years, Nancy Byard;  His son, Eric Byard and his wife, Brittany;  His daughter, Rene Goble;  His grandchildren:  Tyler Goble, Megan Goble, Sarah Goble, Vayda Byard, Noah Thomas, and Jonah Thomas. His sister, Pat Brewer and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 12:30pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2pm at the funeral home with Bro. Dale Sharp officiating.  Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama with military honors.
